All surfaces to be painted will be thoroughly yet carefully pressure-washed and cleaned. This step helps new paint to adhere to the existing surface and removes dirt and loose paint. Any mildew will be treated.
All areas around the home, including shrubs, landscaping and walkways will be protected from start to finish by drop cloths or plastic. Windows, rock, bricks and light fixtures will be masked off.
Scraping & Priming
Loose paint will be scraped. Sanding may be necessary for maintenance or cosmetic consideration. Primer will be applied to all bare wood and metal to assure proper adhesions of new paint. This step prevents further peeling.
Rotting, broken, or otherwise damaged wood trim will be identified and will be brought to your attention. Usually, we can handle minor repairs. If there are major repairs we will advise you.
Loose caulking will be removed and replaced. Open gaps will be filled with premium siliconized-acrylic caulking to prevent water and bugs from entering. Loose nail holes will be re-set and filled as necessary. Loose and/or missing window glazing will be replaced.
The application will consist of either spraying, brushing or a combination of both, as agreed upon before starting the job.
We clean the area thoroughly. Touch-up paint will be labeled and left for you.
